This year, the Warsaw Christmas Market will run until December 6th, giving plenty of time to soak up the magic.
The market opened its first stalls to visitors on Saturday, offering a delightful selection of holiday goods. Shoppers can find warm sweaters, woolen gloves, unique gifts, and seasonal treats such as mulled wine and hot chocolate – the very essence of winter enchantment. All of this is set against the backdrop of thousands of twinkling lights, creating an unforgettable atmosphere to welcome the festive season.
This year’s culinary highlights include Galician mulled wine, grilled oscypek cheese with cranberry sauce, and various grilled dishes. Traditional roasted nuts, baked chestnuts, cookies, and gingerbread are also on the menu. Visitors can also discover beautiful Christmas decorations, handmade wreaths, and unique presents like wooden crafts, jewelry, ceramics, postcards, calendars, and Warsaw-themed souvenirs.
The winter magic extends beyond the market. In keeping with tradition, an ice rink has been set up at the Old Town Square near the iconic Warsaw Mermaid statue. After skating, visitors can warm up with festive treats from nearby stalls, offering mulled wine, hot chocolate, and delicious snacks.
