From humble beginnings the biannual Warsaw Beer Festival has grown to become the biggest – and best organized – event of its type in the country.
This time round, expect about 80 breweries from home and abroad to be dispensing new wave, knock-your-socks-off beer from approximately 350 taps. In all, around 100 beers are expected to make their debut during the three-day event.
Held at Legia’s stadium, huge crowds descended on opening day with the audience going well beyond the stereotypical beer nerds and beer monsters otherwise expected – if anything, the festival’s true silent victory is how it manages to engage such a mixed bag of people.
And the highlight so far? That’ll be Beat Me With Passion, Honey, a Berliner Weisse from Brewski with passion fruit, beetroot and honey.
