BOS 2025

Best of Summer in Warsaw 2025: Legend Adam Tarasiuk

Insider: You once described Miłość as a project born out of love—for the space, for the people, for the act of creating something meaningful. Looking back, what did that place teach you about building more than just a venue?

Running Miłość, which was located in an old, characterful tenement house, felt like immersing yourself in the elements—unpredictable, intense, sometimes demanding, but always real. Miłość was born from a deep need: to create a space where music wasn’t just background, but an experience.

We didn’t follow trends—we followed emotions, often improvising, acting under pressure, trusting our intuition. And that’s when the magic happened.
There was something primal about the place. Chaos mixed with harmony, chance with genius. Over the years, the club became an enclave for people seeking something more than rhythm—they wanted connection. The freedom of the crowd created the atmosphere, and each evening was different—utterly unique. This was where the sets that changed people happened. This was where many first heard DJs who now play on the biggest stages in the world.

Miłość taught me one thing: the best things are born when we allow ourselves to feel. When we stop trying to control everything and simply let ourselves be. Working there was a constant exercise in trusting ourselves and the music. And that experience still lives in me. Today, as I co-create the Jassmine space, I know this for sure: music is felt not with the head, but with the heart.

That kind of passion and emotional investment can’t be faked. Did those early lessons from Miłość shape how you approached Jassmine, even though it’s a completely different mood?

Jassmine – a space of conscious sound

The experience of Miłość was incredibly intense. I needed time—a break to transform, to mature enough to create something new. Something that would be both a continuation and an answer to what had been missing before. It took me three years to fully develop the concept of Jassmine.

It was a challenge—not just creatively, but also logistically. We opened Jassmine during the pandemic, at a time of global uncertainty. That made me even more certain: there could be no room for randomness here. The chaos that once fueled me had to give way to precision and intention. Every detail at Jassmine was carefully considered—from the lighting and acoustics to the interior design and the emotional arc of the evening.

I knew exactly what I wanted this place to represent: a conscious, deeply felt musical experience. My background in theatre—both at the Dramatic Theatre and working with Krystyna Janda—taught me to see a concert as a kind of performance. At Jassmine, we aim to create an experience that speaks to all the senses. It’s not just sound—it’s a full narrative.

Everyday presence – care that creates atmosphere

Jassmine isn’t just a space—it’s a living story I help shape every evening. I’m in the club every day, from the first light on stage to the final note that fades into silence. I want to make sure the story we’re telling—through music and atmosphere—flows as intended, from heart to heart.

Guests enter Jassmine via a lift that descends two floors, as if transporting them into another world. I often greet them at the door to make sure they feel seen, cared for, important. I closely observe the mood, listen to what the audience is saying. During concert breaks, we have conversations—about emotions, experiences, sounds that moved them. These conversations are as important to me as the music itself. They tell me whether the story we’re telling truly resonates.

But the most important element of Jassmine is the stage. It’s a space designed to give artists full freedom to share their talent and their truth. Our stage is a kind of conduit—a bridge between the artist’s intimacy and the listener’s sensitivity. In this intimate space, music can be deeply personal, sincere, and profound.

I pay close attention to every detail—light, scent, texture. The air is scented with carefully chosen perfumes and incense, creating a subtle, sensual atmosphere. The bathrooms are decorated with fresh flowers, and refreshments are served in custom-designed tableware. We equipped Jassmine with the highest-quality sound system, so that even the subtlest sound can be heard in its fullness.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the incredible team that co-creates this space with me every day. Ola, Ada, Damian—and above all, Grzesiek—bring their heart, sensitivity, and dedication into everything they do. Jassmine wouldn’t be what it is without them.

These details—presence, care, mindfulness, and the people behind them—are what shape Jassmine’s story. Because here, music is truly experienced with the heart.
