This leviathan restaurant unravels in a maze of wrought iron and monochrome tiles – beautiful to look at (it was created by Oscar winning set designer Allan Starski), it’s caused a stir for more than just this alone. Where once the menu looked like it was devised by throwing darts at a cookbook (Mediterranean mezze, Tom Yum soup, burgers, pierogi, etc.), today the focus has been narrowed. While some of the dishes are strictly middling, the Alaskan crab claws from the fish section are excellent, while the filet mignon (zł. 69) is one of the best meat deals in town in terms of quality / price / consistency.
