Serving from a minute past midnight, a slew of Warsaw legends have promised to get the party started without any further ado. On the craft beer front, the city’s first tap bar, Cuda Na Kiju, will be welcoming guests from 00:01 along with their sister bar Zamieszanie. Doing roaring trade in the summer, sit out front on deckchairs looking out towards the city’s iconic palm tree or in the back in an echoing, shaded courtyard that accentuates the immense dimensions of this hulking building.
In the center, the dehumanizing scale of the Palace of Culture is diluted in warmer weather when Pl. Defilad turns into something of an outdoor party thanks to Bar Studio’s presence – and no worries if it rains (is that thunder we hear?), the epic colonnades were built as if to provide shelter from the storm. And with no nearby neighbors to ruin the party, it’s just about one of the only places in Warsaw where noise is never an issue – scream and no-one cares.
Next up, Warmut are promising gallons of vermouth to get the party started, and with the weather turning as we write this, their fully covered terrace – set in the bombastic confines of the MDM development – should provide ample shelter. A stone’s throw, they don’t get any more legendary than Plan B, and it was obvious from the off that they too would be opening the second they could. Arguably Warsaw’s favorite epic dive bar, we’re fully expecting some great, gory nights to come over summer.
Less brutal on the mind and body, check also their buddy bars on the riverfront: the cool Plac Zabaw food and drink concept and Barka, a pristine barge moored to the quayside.
