Three graduates from Akademeia High School received “Highest Mark in the World” honors for earning top scores in British A Level exams at the Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards ceremony.
Three recent graduates, Juliusz Ameljan Kowalski, Mateusz Kasprzak and Paulina Gąsiorowska were awarded for having the highest scores in the world on their A Level exams. The Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards recognize the top-achieving students taking A Levels from the Pearson Edexcel exam board.
Twelve exceptional students from Akademeia High School in Warsaw were honored with an impressive 15 awards from Pearson Edexcel for the 2022-2023 academic year. The medals and diplomas for top achievements were presented by two representatives from Pearson Edexcel, Nicola Fox and Mike Hewett.
Even more outstandingly, three of these students were awarded for the highest scores in the world in British A Levels – an outstanding success. All three have gone on to study at the world’s top universities.
The awards went to Juliusz Ameljan Kowalski in Chemistry – currently studying at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands; Mateusz Kasprzak in Mathematics – currently studying at Oxford University in the UK; and Paulina Gąsiorowska in History of Art – currently studying at Brown University, an Ivy League school in the US.
In addition, two more students – Alicja Urawska and Karolina Zalewska – were awarded for the highest scores in Poland for their A Level exam results in Economics and Physics, respectively. These students have gone on to study at the London School of Economics and Princeton University.

The students with the best A Level results in the world are the culmination of the collaborative effort between our students and our academic faculty. Our goal is always to recognize and develop a student’s strengths and direct them to the chosen field in which they will find fulfillment. Students with such excellent results receive offers from the best universities in the world, and we are proud to see these individuals go forth to pursue their academic futures. They will certainly continue to make their mark on the world,” commented Headmaster Dr. Karolina Watras.
