The 40th Warsaw International Film Festival is set to feature an exciting lineup of 84 full-length films, including numerous world premieres, as well as a variety of short films. This prestigious event promises to bring cinematic excellence from around the globe to the heart of Warsaw.
The festival will open with “Kulej. Two Sides of the Medal”, directed by Xawery Żuławski. This film delves into the fascinating story of Jerzy and Helena Kulej, one of the most colorful couples of 1960s Poland. Their lives, marked by love, ambition, and public attention, will be explored in this captivating film.
Closing the festival is the Romanian-Belgian-Dutch co-production “The Invaders”, directed by Teodora Ana Mihai. This thought-provoking movie will make its world premiere in Warsaw, adding to the excitement of this year’s event.
