This March, Warsaw’s PGE Narodowy will become a hub for one of the most unique events of the year!
Over the weekend of March 8-9, a vast collection of carnivorous plants will be on display, featuring species from nearly 40 countries. These remarkable plants, known for their ability to hunt and capture prey, are a true testament to the creativity of nature. Interested?
The exhibition will showcase some of the most fascinating plants on the planet. Visitors can see Venus flytraps snapping their traps shut in a fraction of a second or pitcher plants using their vibrant colors and sweet nectar to lure insects into their hollow leaves. These plants are not only beautiful but also incredibly resourceful, having adapted to thrive in environments where most plants would struggle.
One of the main attractions will be live feeding demonstrations, giving visitors a chance to see how these plants trap and digest their prey. For those who want to dive deeper into the science, an educational zone will host talks by international experts, workshops for all ages and special presentations explaining how and why these plants developed their unique abilities.
The event will also include a marketplace where rare and exotic plants will be available for purchase. This is a unique chance for plant lovers to expand their collections with specimens that are hard to find elsewhere. From the well-known Venus flytraps to lesser-known species of pitcher plants, there will be plenty to choose from, all offered by experienced growers.
Tickets for the event are priced between 55 and 65 PLN, depending on whether you opt for a full-day or partial-day visit. They can be purchased through the official event website. This event promises to be an unforgettable experience!
