New On Room Service

Altro Locale
Buried deep in a chilled out section of Old Mokotow, Altro Locale has attracted nothing but plaudits since opening. Offering a fresh look at Italian cuisine, owner-chef Andrea Carillo presents authentic, homespun tastes on an ever-evolving menu featuring tuna steak, swordfish with shrimps and coffee panna cotta – and there’s not one pizza in sight!

Brasserie Warszawska
Presenting itself in a manner becoming of a classic brasserie (chessboard floor tiles, red banquettes, zinc mirrors and polished bits and bobs), the home delivery menu is a suitable reflection on this restaurant’s style: beef tartare with lovage and ponzu; foie gras with chamomile, hazelnut and blackcurrant; and roasted guinea fowl with risotto and gooseberry. For a sophisticated twist on your meal in, Brasserie is tough to top.

Gruby Josek
An indulgent exercise in nostalgia, Gruby Josek seeks to present the tastes of inter-war Warsaw via a menu that spotlights such dishes as pork legs in aspic; asparagus dumplings; and redfish fillet in a buttery wine emulsion. For a more unusual spin on Polish food, then Josek is your man.

Mr. India
A long-term stalwart of Ursynow, the bland interiors of Mr. India are brought to life thanks to a rich choice of flavors that leave a riotous impression on those who dine here. The boldly spiced vindaloo is outstanding, though for something less challenging then the tikka masala is fail-safe choice for those who don’t view Indian food as an extreme sport.

San Thai
Positioned inside a glass-fronted oblong room, San Thai feels chic and smart with just the right amount of Asian masks and decoys to remind you that, yes, you will be eating Thai. Upmarket but never intimidating, the interiors are harmoniously balanced with a menu that whistles with authentic tastes: delicate pouches of steamed homemade dumplings; chicken and shrimp skewers marinated in coconut milk and served with thick, paste-like peanut sauce; King Prawns in a snappy phanang curry; and the kind of Pad Thai that could be sent across Poland fulfilling ambassadorial duties for the nation it represents.
