The lesser-known bit of Mokotowska is finally having its moment: first The Farm opened, then Foodie Rollins. And crikey, don’t we just love it.
Tricked out with comic art doodles, dangling chains and midnight colors it’s a place born for casual meet-ups and messy lunches – aware of that, they’ll even issue disposable gloves before you get stuck into the food.
Ordered from the kind of tattooed lad you know you can trust to handle your street food, the small menu contains everything you need to boost your calorie count and feel good about life.
Eating our way through approximately a third of the menu, that meant their Notorious P.I.G. porchetta sandwich; a beef flank taco; house kimchi; an El Cubano sandwich; and fries loaded up with cheddar, jalapenos and chili bavette. Big marks for everything, and that includes a set of house salsas that cover all bases.
Specializing in high quality, loaded-to-the-hilt sandwiches, this meat-fest will get even better when they obtain their license: “our alcoholic shakes are gonna’ blow your mind,” we were promised as we left. We don’t doubt it.
Some say this is a section of Mokotowska that often goes forgotten – with both The Farm and Foodie Rollins firing on all cylinders that stands to change with immediate effect.
