The Wisła is all about the summer, right? Wrong. Opened a few weeks back, Winsky represents one of the more exciting launches of the year. A place of deep, luxurious design, the view alone promises much for the warmer months ahead: it’s as if, almost, you can reach out across the river and touch the stadium opposite.
Looking upmarket and dapper, it’s already attracted attention on account of approximately 30 or so wines poured from a tap. Yet there’s more to recommend beyond this crafty gimmick.
The menu buys into the trend for small, little plates, and features such stars as bacon served with broccoli puree, cider and crispy skin.
Though Polish-slanted, there are more international diversions as well: in this case, tuna with tataki, and shitake mushrooms.
And dessert, that includes a lux goat’s milk panna cotta. Already widely blogged about, it’s a place that promises much for the year ahead.
