Remember when Warsaw was a byword for grey, grim and gloomy? Not anymore it ain’t. The drab city of yesteryear has exploded into powder puffs of color – and nowhere is safe! Take Metro Politechnika for instance, a onetime nominee for the city’s blandest tube stop. Reinvented earlier this year, its new skin comes thanks to the Turkish Embassy who opted to celebrate 600 years of diplomatic relations with Poland by way of an 18-meter long mural – and what a gift it is. Created using traditional techniques, the hand-painted composition depicts Warsaw and Istanbul in all their sparkling glory. Beautiful!
