Once a grocery store, now a culinary destination.
Once a grocery store, now a culinary destination.
Originally opened in 2017 as a Korean grocery store called Wawamart, it is now reinvented as Haechi Shop serving up Korean cuisine street-food style. Diners can sit in on a raised platform in the middle of the Arkadia pavillion with colorful neon lights above which upon seeing from a distance reminds one of any scene from “Blade Runner.”
The shop section of Haechi Shop has always been a source for Korean kitchen staples, but now besides picking up hard-to-find instant ramen packs, frozen fish and meats, you can take home some fun novelty socks. They even have a manager who is a K-pop enthusiast, ensuring the shelves are stocked with fan gear, from posters to merchandise. It’s a place where you can immerse yourself in Korean culture, whether through food, fashion, or music.
The menu offers a range of Korean favorites. The bulgogi, a sweet and savory grilled beef dish, is a must-try. For those who enjoy crispy textures, the Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) won’t disappoint, with its golden, crunchy coating and succulent meat.
Overall, Haechi Shop’s reboot has injected new energy into the Arkadia Pavilion. With its unique blend of delicious food, vibrant atmosphere, and diverse shopping options, this Korean shop turned restaurant is a lively spot for a one-of-a-kind experience in Warsaw.
