Although the current weather might not indicate it, summer is almost behind us. We will officially welcome the astronomical autumn next weekend, but… the upcoming weekend is the last weekend of summer! How to make the most of it? We’ve prepared a few suggestions for you.
Outdoor Yoga

During the summer, outdoor yoga classes (mostly free) took place in almost every district of Warsaw. This weekend, you have two options.
The first one is OUTDOOR YOGA, a morning stretch session in the fresh air. The classes will be held on Saturday (16.09) from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Kamionkowskie Błonia Elekcyjne (Praga-Południe, right next to Skaryszewski Park). Meetup point: at the swiftlet nesting towers (you’ll find a map at the event). Please bring your own mat/blanket/towel and sportswear. The exercises take place in the shade, but it’s a good idea to apply sunscreen beforehand. The fee for the classes is voluntary – you can pay as much as you want, whether it’s by cash, Blik, or card.
The second option, on the same day but from 11 AM to 12 PM, is OUTDOOR YOGA at Plac Konesera. The classes will be led by Julia Witkowska, a certified yoga teacher (RYT 200 Yoga Alliance), certified Ayurvedic masseuse, Ayurveda consultant, and personal trainer from Pracownia Ciszy Joga i Ajurweda.
Street Food Festival

There will be not one but two Street Food Festivals this weekend. The first one will take place in Bemowo, at Górczewska Park. This is already the 13th edition of the festival in this district. You can expect cuisine from around the world, concerts, and a chill-out zone. Admission to the event is free, but participation involves the cost of ordering food/drinks. The fun will last from 3 PM to 8 PM on Friday and from 12 PM to 8 PM on Saturday and Sunday.
If Bemowo is too far for you, you can come to Gocław (Park nad Balatonem), where the 11th edition of the Gocław Street Food Festival will take place. Participation rules are the same as in Bemowo.
Festival of Cuisine and World Cultures

And since we’re talking about world cuisines, you can also head to Pasaż Wiecha (behind Centrum Domów Towarowych). There, the Festival of Cuisine and World Cultures has already started from Thursday. The World Cuisine Zone is a proposition for people who don’t eat sweets but love to eat well. The organizers believe that food brings joy and is a reason to gather in one place to taste a real culinary adventure. The focus is on Asian cuisine – its bold flavors, regional spices, and staples such as rice, fish, and seafood.
However, the festival menu will also include Greek, Mexican, American, Ukrainian, Italian, Spanish, Mediterranean, Indian, Georgian, and Hungarian cuisines. It will be aromatic, delicious, and unique. Exciting dishes and much more await you at the Festival of World Cuisine.
The accompanying event will be the Chocolate and Sweets Festival with a wide range of chocolates and sweets from around the world.
Warsaw Family Picnic

If you want to take your entire family somewhere where both parents and children can find various activities, we recommend a trip to Błonia PGE Narodowego. There, on Sunday, from 12 PM to 5 PM, a Family Picnic will be waiting for you.
The organizers, along with 120 partners, have prepared 20,000 square meters of attractions, animations, training sessions, and meetings with athletes for you! Three zones will be waiting for you at PGE Narodowy’s grounds: Polish fruits and vegetables, family, and sports. Gymnastic shows, an exhibition of demonstration boats, culinary workshops, consultations with dietitians, sports competitions, a meeting with ponies, glider tours, and many other attractions will be available on September 17th!
Admission to the event is free!
Grunt i Woda

The end of summer also marks the end of riverside parties. This weekend, Grunt i Woda is suspending its operations for the autumn-winter season. To bid farewell, they’re hosting a farewell party called Last Christmas.
The celebration will last for three days! On Friday, you’ll be tapping your feet to the music played by Larry Lane + WHC, and on Saturday, you can listen to Mauryce. On Sunday, you’re invited to kick back and enjoy the last moments with the owners on the sun loungers.
