Already famed for resurrecting the art of the hand-painted commercial mural, GoodLooking Studio have again demonstrated their more socially responsible side by revealing a string murals around Warsaw paying tribute to the struggles of Ukraine.
Having previously given the capital cause to smile with their Będzie Dobrze campaign during the lockdown era, this time around the studio have utilized the blank walls that they rent to give messages of hope and peace regarding the war in neighboring Ukraine.
In a statement released to the public, Piotr Ruszkowski said: “the information, images and recordings coming from Ukraine are frightening. We were all surprised by this situation and we have the impression that we are making a sad return to the infamous history of the 20th century.
“We decided to express our support by sending the message in the most natural way for us, i.e. with an impactful visual message on the streets of Warsaw. We also have other activities planned to support those in need, but the most important thing for us was to speak up on an issue on which we cannot remain indifferent.
“We would like the citizens of Ukraine to know that we wholeheartedly support them in the face of the invasion of Russia and we hope that they will win the war for their national identity. Peace is a good that everyone deserves and we hope that it will soon return also to Ukraine. We say no to war and death of innocent people.”
The murals can be found on ul. Parkingowa, Rondo ONZ and ul. Smolna 15.
