On 19 September 2025, the Warsaw cultural scene gains a striking addition: Romantic Chopin, an immersive exhibition at the Art Box Experience in Norblin Factory. Brought to life in collaboration with the Fryderyk Chopin National Institute, it offers a fresh, technology-infused journey through the life, work, emotions, and influences of one of Poland’s greatest Romantic composers.
“Romantic Chopin” is not just a music-oriented retrospective; it’s a fully multisensory narrative. Through eight thematic zones, visitors move from Chopin’s early days in Żelazowa Wola, through his formative years in Warsaw, on to the turbulence of Vienna, and the bohemian artistic life of Paris.
Fabryka Norblina
A 360° projection room enveloping the audience in visual and auditory storytelling.
An interactive musical sculpture that allows visitors to “touch” or otherwise engage with Chopin’s compositions in a tangible way.
An AI-powered “inspirations tree”, mapping his mentors, friends, and artistic influences – including George Sand, Liszt, Mickiewicz, and others.
A virtual-reality (VR) experience designed by Platige Image, guiding visitors from a piano’s inner workings to a cosmic landscape – symbolising the reach and resonance of Chopin’s music across time and space.A final zone devoted to the Chopin Competition: its history, its laureates, and its role in keeping Chopin’s legacy vibrant.
This exhibition is notable on several counts. First, it is the first immersion-style exhibition in Poland to juxtapose classical music, archival materials (letters, documents), historical context, and modern digital technologies in this way.
Second, it broadens the way Chopin is experienced: not only through concert halls, scores, or museum portraits, but through interactive, visual, spatial, and emotional dimensions. For both longtime enthusiasts and newcomers, it promises new perspectives.
