There’s been a flush of Asian eateries around Warsaw, though few disappoint as much as Spring Roll. That their signature dish – you’ve guessed it, spring rolls – doesn’t score much beyond six out of ten, what hope the rest of the menu? The teriyaki chicken might as well be renamed teriyaki chicken giblets, and comes with the addition of the worst ingredient ever devised: steamed cauliflower.

The restaurant might be called Spring Roll, and quite frankly I think the springrolls are good, maybe not out of this world, but still what I expect from a springroll. However, if you want the best gastronomic experience in this restaurant, try the Pho! Pho with beef, wonton dumplings, egg, bak choy, spring onion and noodles. It’s heavenly! Take the summer rolls with peanut dip as a starter, and a cold beer, and I assure you you’ll be smiling! I go to this place at least once a month and the waiters are always helpful and polite, and on top of it all, the prices are very good. Maybe you had a bad experience, it does happen anywhere, but I would really encourage you to go again and try the pho.
Sadly, many asian restaurants in Warsaw are generally not on the level I hoped they would be, but to say that “few disappoint more than Springroll” couldn’t be further from the truth.
