Held for the first time in 2004, Warsaw’s annual Singer festival has grown rapidly, establishing itself as one of the Europe’s most anticipated festivals of Jewish culture. Over 200 events are planned and these include screenings, guided walks, discussions and workshops.
While Próżna and pl. Grzybowski will be the focal point, a number of happenings are scheduled for Praga and Muranów, not to mention Teatr Kwadrat who have kindly stepped in to provide the Jewish Theater with a temporary home after its recent eviction from its spiritual home. Regarded as one of Europe’s most anticipated festivals of Jewish culture, highlights over the coming days include a jazz concert by the Sefardix Trio inside the synagogue on August 29th, the play Anne Frank, as well as a culinary festival titled Mama Sonia’s Cuisine.
