Weekend Courtyard Escapades

Vintage fashion, DJs from Brazil to the Caribbean, Warsaw’s vinyl staples, and Peruvian cocktails with telenovela flair — this weekend, the courtyard of the historic Jabłkowski Brothers’ Tenement House (Chmielna 21) turns into a summer-longer’s dream. Think vinyl markets, vintage style, deep grooves, and street food colliding in one of Warsaw’s most atmospheric addresses. It’s a weekend for music lovers chasing soulful bites and pulsating drums that keep you dancing till the courtyard lights go out.

Saturday, Sept 6 (from 18:00)

The night belongs to Luz María, Warsaw’s wild-at-heart Peruvian bar that treats every evening like a cliff-hanger episode. The food is gloriously over the top: loaded totopos dripping in cheese and smoky salsas, tacos that play with smoky-sweet-sour contrasts, and a mazorcada of fries, corn, and Tajín that feels like midnight trouble. Drinks? Pure theatre. Sip on the Pardon Padron (pisco, pineapple, peppers), the cheeky Cornstar (pisco, corn liqueur, prosecco), or the brooding Sol Negro (whisky, Cynar, citrus). DJs Mesbrutah, Gwoździu, and Neo Totni keep the night hopping with a genre-spanning soundtrack that leaps continents.

Day two hands the reins to Dobre Włókno, the vintage fashion collective that has made Italian fabrics, sharp tailoring, and sustainable chic their calling card. Recently named Insider’s Best Summer Shop 2025, they’re blowing out the candles on their first birthday at Chmielna with a celebratory sale, cocktails, and a courtyard party laced with the atmospheric sounds of Bumi Phillips and D I D I LEZ. And if the weather misbehaves, the whole affair hops over to their new space at Nowogrodzka 8.

For two decades Wojtek Żdanuk’s vinyl temple has schooled Warsaw on deep cuts and rare grooves, quietly shaping the city’s DJ culture while introducing countless ears to their next obsession.
