The Polish Tree of the Year competition is back for its 15th edition, and Warsaw is proudly in the running.
Out of nearly 50 entries submitted by local communities across Poland, 16 remarkable finalists have been chosen by the jury of Klub Gaja – including Onufry, a narrow-leaved olive tree from Warsaw’s Ursus district.
Onufry isn’t just any tree. Growing peacefully for over half a century on ul. Zagłoby 2 in the Niedźwiadek estate, it has long been cherished by locals and lovingly cared for by the RSM Ursus housing cooperative. Last year, it earned the title of Warsaw Tree of the Year 2024 — now it’s hoping to win the national crown and represent Poland in the European Tree of the Year 2026.
📅 How to Vote:

🏆 The winner will be announced on July 1.
