Nowy Świat’s ‘pavilion’ bars keep revealing surprises, and the latest is one of the best so far: snuck to the Smolna-side entrance, Żyrafa is a gem, albeit one of almost tiddly size: 15 sq/m in all. Looking less grungy than its neighbors, the intimate air is conducive to accidental meetings with strangers looking to test out their English vocabulary. Otherwise, find it notable for a strange giraffe mural, a motorbike inexplicably fitted onto a mezzanine and its crazy tiny licensed Polish casinos toilet.
