Puławska 38
This neighbourhood gem could easily go unnoticed were it not for the oversized typography set vertically on the large storefront window – this outsized statement contrasts against the tiny bakery it advertises, a place so small it’s a candidate for the teeniest bakery in the whole of Poland, let alone Warsaw. The idea of graphic artist Karolina Huzarska, this passion project presents a versatile selection of breads (miso, anyone?) but gets just as much love for their cinnamon buns and legendary blueberry crumbles. Be warned though of the curious and ever-changing opening hours.

The top find here is the Japanese milk bread, shokupan, hauled fresh from the oven round about noon. Visit also for wheat-rye French baguettes and Poland’s iconic drożdżówka sweet rolls.
