A bus driver has been hailed for his kindness after stopping to try and save a deer that had been hit by a car.
Identified only as pan Wojciech, the driver was working his route on a Mobilis bus No. 737 when he noticed an animal lying on the road. Stopping his journey, the driver realized it was a roe deer and to its side lay two fawns.
The mother and one of her babies been killed on impact, but despite the grisly nature of the scene pan Wojciech noticed that one of the infants was still moving.
Taking it on board, a passenger then volunteered to keep the deer warm and wrapped in the driver’s own jacket. Despite their best efforts, it was later announced that the young animal later died after the driver had transported it to a veterinary clinic in Ursynów.
Sad though as the story ends, the driver has since found his actions sweeping the internet with the public widely praising his selfless actions.
Mobilis also released a statement shortly after the incident crediting their employee.
“That whole situation has a tragic end,” they wrote, “yet our driver, pan Wojciech, deserves applause for his empathy, commitment and big heart. Congratulations to you and thank you to all the people like that work for the Mobilis team.”
