Accessorized with bits of artwork and beautiful floor tiles, it’s hardly a surprise that people like to linger – a free table at the weekend is a rare sight indeed.

Adorned with stickers of ABBA, coffee comes from a swanky Astoria machine, though if there is a real reason to visit then it is for the pastries that sit on the counter. Baked fresh on the day, and often served piping hot, these include traditional kanelbullar (sweet cinnamon rolls). On a chilly day, just one of these warms the edges of the soul.
