A long-time servant of the Likus empire, Dariusz Barański’s transfer from Concept 13 to Hotel Warszawska has sent the blogging community into meltdown: leading the kitchen in what must rank as one of country’s most impressive hotels, the acclaimed chef brings forth a menu of modern Polish food inside a stunning basement interior featuring natural materials juxtaposed against the raw steel foundations that this iconic pre-war skyscraper rests upon.
Highlights are too numerous to mention, but include a range of simple dishes elevated to unknown heights: schnitzel, chickens feet, dumplings, etc. Everything is a joy, including the prices: despite occupying a sizeable chunk of one of the most luxurious hotels in the nation, most mains hover below 50 – you’d happily pay double.
